July 7, 2015: Chair of the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR), Andrew Pringle and President and CEO Christopher Bunting are pleased to announce the appointment of Kyle Winters.
Kyle will assume the role of Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of CANFAR on August 4, 2015 and will operate out of CANFAR’s national office in Toronto.
Kyle brings to CANFAR 30 years of not-for-profit industry experience. Previously, Kyle was the National Vice President, Corporate Partnerships at the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, where he was instrumental in securing the single largest contribution to the foundation in its history. Prior to that, Kyle spent 25 years as the University of Toronto with roles spanning from communications and design to the Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. It was in this role Kyle provided institutional direction for one of the most significant revenue streams in the unprecedented $2B Boundless Campaign.
With an outstanding reputation as a dynamic leader, Kyle is an institutional ambassador and a fund development professional. He has been a guest speaker at educational conferences in Canada, the U.S., China, UK and Latin America. He is a graduate of the OMNIUM Global MBA program at the University of Toronto, and the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. In addition he has completed Executive Education Programs in Leadership and Strategic Negotiations at Harvard University.
With a continued focus on diversifying and deepening revenue streams with the end goal of funding even more Canadian HIV and AIDS research and awareness programs, CANFAR’s staff and leadership welcome Kyle Winters to the team.
