Trevor Stratton: a CANFAR Ambassador and the definition of resilience.
Trevor was diagnosed with HIV in 1990. He found the courage to turn to his community of the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation and to the Indigenous HIV and AIDS movement for support. A mix of Ojibwe and English heritage, Trevor found inner-strength from his support network to rise above feelings of isolation and stigmatization. He went on to become an activist, volunteer, and consultant on the global stage – in the fight to end HIV and AIDS.
