MEET THE CO-CHAIRS

David Simmonds is Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for Great-West Lifeco and Canada Life. Prior to Canada Life, David spent close to a decade working in healthcare strategy, corporate marketing, and policy as a senior vice president at McKesson Corporation. David’s a longtime advocate for 2SLGBTQ communities and for access to HIV care including time as a Board member at Casey House, Canada leading hospital of HIV care. Melissa Campisi is a seasoned marketing executive with a diverse background spanning the real estate, fashion, music, and television sectors. She has been involved with CANFAR since 2016, contributing her expertise as a committee member for both CYDL and BSE. A passionate philanthropist, Melissa is an active advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness and is deeply committed to supporting a wide array of initiatives which focus on advancements in healthcare and the arts.
