Christie Garofalo is a respected Community Champion and solutions-driven leader in Canada’s charitable sector. With over 30 years of volunteer service, she has helped raise tens of millions for local and national causes as a board chair, connector, fundraiser, and philanthropist. Deeply committed to her values of family, community, and giving back, Christie lives by the motto: “Get involved and give back.” She is an alumna of UBC and lives in Vancouver with her husband and their eight children.
Candice Sinclair was BSE co-chair from 2022-2024, and has been a key member of our BSE committee for several years now. She is also a member of the CANFAR Board of Directors. A philanthropist involved in a number of national and local charitable organizations, Candice is dedicated to supporting causes including mental health and youth, for which she leads significant fundraising efforts.
Jay McCauley is a strategic communications leader, philanthropic advisor, and founder of Jay McCauley Global Strategies, advising major brands and nonprofits on PR, branding, political strategy, and Gen Z engagement. He formerly served as Senior Advisor & Global Ambassador at TELUS and has advised multiple national political leaders. The youngest board member in Canadian nonprofit history, Jay has helped raise nearly $20 million and was named one of BCBusiness’ 30 Under 30.
