I think it’s safe to say that most people don’t look back on their summer jobs as students with fondness and joy, but working at CANFAR has not been the standard summer job. It has unquestionably been the best summer job I’ve ever had, and I’m sure I’ll never forget my CANFAR experience.
CANFAR’s work towards its mission of ending HIV and AIDS through research could not be possible without the generosity and dedication of hardworking volunteers.
We are incredibly grateful for our volunteers and their commitment to our work in funding lifesaving research.
CANFAR offers various volunteer opportunities that are dynamic and rewarding. These projects match the skills and interests of volunteers on an ongoing basis, including work with communications, research, marketing, events, administration, database management, awareness programs, and more!
The CANFAR office volunteer program includes ongoing training opportunities, mentorship, and support. Volunteers operate out of our office space in shifts based on their availability.
Office Volunteering
CANFAR relies on year-round office volunteers to assist with prospect research, mailing, filing, and donor relations, as well as, HIV and AIDS statistics research. We welcome volunteers from a variety of backgrounds to help enrich our office and team.
Event Volunteering
Each year, CANFAR hosts a number of events in order to raise funds and awareness for HIV and AIDS. These events often require the help of volunteers. Learn more about our events below.
