Join us for our next CANFAR2025 Conversation this upcoming Tuesday March 30th, 2021 at 11:00am ET on CANFAR’s Instagram Live (@canfar1987).
Our virtual talk series connects members within the CANFAR community, speaking to issues and initiatives involved with ending the HIV epidemic in Canada by the year 2025. Through each #CANFAR2025 Conversation, our guests help deconstruct and apply the research, trends, and obstacles affecting the HIV/AIDS community across Canada.
Help us a extend a warm welcome to our very own CANFAR National Ambassador, Ashley Rose Murphy. As Women’s History Month comes to a close, CANFAR is shining a light on how HIV affects women in Canada to remind us to continue these important conversations throughout the year. Women make up nearly 25% of the total Canadian population affected by HIV, with new infection rates highest in the age category of 25-34 years old. In our conversation with Ashley Rose, we’ll hear about her experience being born and growing up with HIV and learn what we can do to prevent stigma and stop the spread among younger generations.
“Stigma is still an issue. Youth need more information. But the medications are easier to take and work well. Today, I am healthy and undetectable.”
Tune in this Tuesday March 30th, 2021 at 11:00am ET on CANFAR’s Instagram Live (@canfar1987) to join our chat with Ashley Rose Murphy hosted by CANFAR National Spokesperson, Valerie Pringle.
