Since 1993, CANFAR has produced free educational materials for high school teachers across Canada to educate students about HIV and encourage dialogue around prevention, testing, treatment, and stigma reduction in the classroom.
Our resources have been used in every province and territory and include a wide range of ready-to-use teaching tools for a range of subjects aimed at intermediate and high school students.
Our materials are developed in partnership with educators, community development experts, artists, and youth from diverse backgrounds, and can be used in classrooms, community centres, and other youth-serving spaces.

Our partnership with SExT: Sex Education by Theatre
SExT is a youth-led sexual health performance group created by youth, for youth.
SExT uses theatre, dance, drama, rap, song, poetry, and spoken word to educate other youth about various topics on teen health and well-being, including mental health, racism, homophobia, HIV, STIs, teen pregnancy, cyberbullying, healthy relationships, and violence.
In 2018, CANFAR partnered with SExT to perform in over 39 schools across 21 communities in Northern Saskatchewan and Ontario. Over 4,000 students were directly reached and impacted by this initiative.
