CANFAR holds an annual Request for Proposals (RFP) for new research projects relevant to HIV prevention, treatment, care or a cure.
The Cycle 30 Innovation Research Grant RFP will be announced December 15, 2017. At this time, new application forms and specific instructions will be released.
Applications will be due February 13, 2018.
Announcements for successful recipients will be made August 15, 2018.
Innovation Research Seed Grants ($35,000)
The goal of the $35,000 award is to stimulate and fund HIV and AIDS related research that requires seed funding and is conducting novel research, and/or is being done by individuals starting out in the HIV research field.
Two-Year Innovation Research Grants ($160,000)
The goal of the $160,000 Award, distributed over two years, is to stimulate and fund HIV and AIDS related research in areas that require funding for conducting a long-term project or sustaining ongoing efforts in a promising study.
