Voices for World AIDS Day

December 1st is World AIDS Day.

Voices for World AIDS Day exists to unite Canadians together across the country for World AIDS Day. Increasing awareness by sharing stories, hosting events and raising funds; we are bringing our country together in solidarity to remember those we have lost to AIDS. Join us in supporting the 75,500 Canadians who are currently living with the HIV, and as we stand together in ending the 2,500 new infections each year.

World AIDS Day

Each year, World AIDS Day is held on Dec. 1st. It is an opportunity for people around the world to join the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with the virus, and remember the people who have died. The first World AIDS Day was held in 1988, and continues to support 36 million people still living with HIV worldwide.

Voices for World AIDS Day

Voices for World AIDS Day began 13 years ago with a vision for recognizing World AIDS Day in Canada, through concerts to help spread awareness and raise critical funds for the work being done by AIDS Service Organizations. This year, we are delighted to have seven partnering organizations from across the country come together in joining us to raise our hands and our voices in remembering those we have lost to HIV/AIDS. It is our collective goal to better support those who are living with the HIV virus and spread awareness of prevention methods across Canada.

Life is diverse for people living with HIV & AIDS across Canada. Read a few stories at voicesforworldaidsday.ca/stories of people living with HIV in Canada and their interactions with the organizations across the country they are engaged with.

Join with fellow Canadians from all over the country, in using World AIDS Day to promote awareness of the critical issues that surround HIV/AIDS, attend events and support the various AIDS Service Organizations nationwide that are working hard to help make a difference each day.
