CAHR-CANFAR Excellence in Research Awards
CANFAR is pleased to announce the launch a new program entitled the CAHR–CANFAR Excellence in Research Awards. The Excellence in Research Awards program is intended to highlight and celebrate the contributions of Canadian researchers in HIV/AIDS research in Canada and internationally.
Each year at the CAHR Conference, up to five awards will be bestowed to highlight the achievements of researchers actively contributing to HIV research in their respective discipline.
With a membership of more than 2,000 researchers and others interested in HIV research, the Canadian Association for HIV Research (CAHR) is the leading organization of HIV/AIDS researchers in Canada. CANFAR is Canada’s only independent charitable foundation dedicated to eliminating HIV and AIDS through research. By funding promising Canadian HIV research and spreading awareness through education campaigns, CANFAR is working to end AIDS globally. Since 1987, CANFAR has awarded more than $20-million to HIV and AIDS research projects.
Recipients of the Excellence in Research Awards will be announced at the 26th Annual Canadian Conference on HIV/AIDS Research (CAHR 2017), held this year from April 6-9 in Montreal, Quebec.
Deadline for applications has been extended: February 22, 2017
